Fikse Profil 13 in 18x8.5 and 18x11 arrived
I've seen these up close on cars at PCA DEs, but have never seen one raw. I was able to really inspect the insides, outsides, etc. and I really am impressed with the workmanship. They came with metal stems pre-installed - they look like the BBS units I've seen for sale online, though I'm not sure.
I'd been trying to discover the weight before ordering, after ordering, etc. but was unable to find anything. So, according to the old bathroom scale, which has proven to be very accurate based on all sorts of shipping I've done, the numbers are:
18x8.5 = 19 lbs
18x11 = 20 lbs
I'm in the process of ordering tires, and my pick for now is the RA1 for many reasons. Although the PSC, which I've run for years, might give me a slight edge on a warm and dry day, I believe the RA1 will be a better "all-around" tire for the cold and wet we typically have here in CT and NY where I DE. The RA1 also has the same rolling diameter as the 997S oem tires - so speedo / odometer will be basically correct. The only downside to the RA1 is the rear is very heavy compared with the PSC...
Fikse, especially Matt, was extremely good to deal with. The customer service is at a level I've not seen in a very long while. Kudos to Fikse!

I have heard that Turner here in MA is another.
And, of course, the various Rennlist sponsors are an option.

depending on which reseller you use. i found that if i ordered direct with PCA discount, it is cheaper than buying from small resellers.
the two Mr. Fikses are very good to deal with. i had some issues with my cayman wheels and i was pissed, about to go ballistic. i called to speak directly with Mr. Fikse, he listened and made everything all right. expensive product, well made and good service.

RA1s in 304/35-18 rear are the same rolling diameter as the oem PS2s in either 18 or 19" Porsche sizes. The fronts at 245/40-18 in RA1 are also about the same size as oem fronts. What are not the same are PSC rears - if my memory is correct, the PSC rears in 295 are about 25.3" diameter, where oem rears are now 26.3". Remember, the 997 is the first Porsche to have different diameter tires front and rear.

Ron is correct and KEY to understand is the RD of the differences b/t 996 and 997. While the 305/35 (26.4" RD) Toyo RA-1 works on the 997, it is NOT even close to the 996 RD of 25". Guys that want to run the RA-1 on the 996 must use the 275/35 (25.6" RD) to stay within tolerance of the 25" RD.
OEM RD:
996 RD (rear) 25"
997 RD (rear) 26.1-3" depending on 18 or 19.

The ABS issue arises when the size of the front tires vary from the size of the rear tires by more than a threshold amount, in the 3% range I think. If front and rear tires are both larger or both smaller by the same amount than the OEM tires then there is no issue with ABS.
