I actually kinda dig the 1.7 versus the 3.1 at MSR. But I've only driven each of them once...

No kidding! Come to Northern California.

Point myself toward Sears Point now and be thankful for all the non-PCA events and private track rentals we have........

Colin, my next event with PCA will be at LRP on 4/21, by then I will have my new track car and thus be a bit slower.

That's if you can FIND it !!!

Paolo; nothing personal here. I'm originally from SE PA and spent a while in central NJ before escaping to the midwest. Good point about small tracks and congestion. We've got it good out here. Enjoy that 911.

You may be in a different situation with your new old track car, however you can always pit out and ask them to find an opening for you if you get stuck behind some slower drivers. It also helps to reduce frustration and gives you a few seconds to clear your mind and refocus.

Is there anyone else out there that is mildly pissed that a good contributor to this site got chased away?
Maybe this is none of my business, or I should realize that it is not unusual on the 'net, but I'm none too happy about it.

You are probably right (at least I hope so; I think he has done a really nice high wire act here, balancing 'crazy new DE guy' with 'I am here to learn.'
I'll get off my soapbox now.

Relax fellas. Paolo is at work. He will return when he is certain that it is safe.
