here's the before of the original car and the successor Orange 'General Zee' yup we had the horn and the confederate flag painted on the roof!! The second year we approached the event with a much more relaxed attitude and we actually had fun and finished!!

Hey 'Cone'
Nope, haven't rallied since I moved to CT. It was alot of fun building the car(s) and let me tell you, it is impressive how much abuse a well prepped car can take. We were pounding down 'roads' that I wouldn't otherwise drive slowly in my jeep. It's very rewarding to be able to keep pace and bring the car (and yourself) home. Just like any other form of racing, meet some folks who are doing it, ask lots of questions, get the rule book, build a car and get your license. I would love to get back into it, but having kids and other such responsibilities makes you think twice about no run-off and trees instead of tire walls :-)

Butzip,
Are those 240 Z's? I have one I am trying to sell right now. Great cars! Being a big Dukes of Hazzard fan I love the General Zee name.

yup, 1971 240Zs. The yellow one was a pretty successful solo 1 car before we converted it. The PO was a local racer and my biggest auto-x nemesis.
