What are you guys that do not have centerlock transport rings doing in an enclosed trailer ?

i have done the same but the front straps are pressing up on the front spolier to the point of where it has cracked the fasterner locations. I go through the wheels in the rear though, that's still OK

Run the car up onto some 1x12's and that should give you some clearance. And/or put down a ring that the strap can run through to hold it tight to the floor of the trailer.
I wouldn't trust my 3000lb car to those tie downs.

Hi Andy
I had the same problem with the straps rubbing my splitter; this was when the front straps were attached through the wheel spokes.
I added the autometrics 993 attachment points (http://www.autometricsmotorsports.co...93tiedowns.jpg) and they cured the problem.
The fronts are nothing fancy, but do the job well. I have a bit of a problem getting to the front attachment points (can't reach in far enough from the front; have to reach in from the sides), but it works. Highly recommended.

Rick i emailed Autometrics today. Do the rear tie down hooks interfere with the suspension movement ? from the website it's hard to tell if those "ears" clear the lower rear control arm. thanks man !! looks like a cure has been found !!

Hi Andy
At first I thought that they did, but when the load is back on the tires, they clear just fine.
BTW, when I had the same problem, I asked Rennlist and several responded with this Autometrics solution.
'Pass it on' works here

if your 993 tt is the same as the na 993, you use the autometrics tiedowns on the rear, and you put some big shackles through the holes in the frame for the front. However, in my narrow trailex enclosed trailer, I can't reach the right front of the car easily. I use the front shackle for the driver's side, and use the tow hook in the bumper for the passenger side. Hope this makes sense.
