Road Atlanta smack talk time
Time to stir the pot....
Those of us former "I, H, G class's" now SP1 & SP2 are still running together at Road Atlanta despite the different avenues we've taken with our cars. Last weekend a two race warmup with NASA has gotten most of us psyched about next week. The new track surface has easily given up somewhere between 2-3 seconds for our "slow" cars! 1:45.5 seemed to be a common theme among us. Who will turn :44's first? can you say :43's?!
Scott C. (Scott #1) was fast with a second and first place finish respectively, Scott P. (Scott #2) Stacy F., Tim P. me-Brian L. and Lee D. are all with in a tenth or so!!
SO....who will it be? A hot shoe from out of town who we all know cheats better than.... or one of us?
Some questions beg to be answered!
1 Will Lee's tires ever show up?
2 Will Tim's motor be ready and will it hold up?
3 Will Scott #1's hood stay on the car?
4 Do the aerodynamic benefits out weigh the 4 lbs of duct tape on Stacy's car?
5 Will I (Brian) ever realize that brakes are just for show?
6 Will Kerry ever return to demoralize the rest of us?
7 Scott P........Whatever.
Chime in while you can, you have a week before the rubber meets the road and there might be some surprises!!!

Guys, I'm shooting for a sub-1:40 in my new G car, so please keep those 4bangers out of the way when you see the orange streak in your rear view. Feel free to hold up anyone else though!

If you qualify well, try not spin on the first 2 laps...okay. If so, you may be having 4-banger's and mash for lunch.
I plan on being at T&T on Thursday.

I have a dyno tune planned for Monday too. This also requires a car. I figure if I start pushing for Monday and then Thursday that I have a better chance of making it on Friday.
