Those are the angled legged ones that are actually 8x8.

I just bought a E-Z up Jamboree II 10x10, straight leg, for 89$ from sears. On sale for 113$, found a 25$ online coupon, and did in store pickup.

Of course, not 2 hours after I bought mine, and I notice that buyshade.com was running a sale on the Express II for 79$ over the weekend only. I think it is worth spending the little bit of extra money on the straight legged and even the lighty-duty commercial versions if you can find them on good sales.

Here's another tent that works very well. You can buy the componets on eBay and pickup the fencing post from Home depot. You can design you tent for one to many cars. Setup is easy once you mark the holders and posts as I did with duck tape. We ended up changing the tarp to a three piece version so that when it's windy out, the center section would let the air out. The cost came out to be around $200/per car.

I've got one of these too. Much prefer over the EZ up; we often get substantial winds in this area, and mine's survived pretty much all of them, except one. Added bonus, replacement parts are easily found online, so a couple of new corners and a few lengths of new pipe, we were good to go. Mine's even outlasted a hailstorm at Gingerman last year!

Likewise with the color-coded duct tape, I don't find it takes that long to set up; more time with someone in the way, in fact, that doesn't know what they're doing but is trying to help... Maybe 15 minutes.

Now I want to upgrade to one with sides... but the price jumps a bit over the basic flat tarp style...

Suck it up and get an enclosed trailer with an awning and an AC unit with heat strip and be done with it.

I have a 10x20 EZ up and the enclosed trailer w/awning so I can site outside and have a place to put the car. Make sure to get the power awning; its much nicer .

As for tie downs, i use a couple of ratchet straps to the truck and trailer for the one side, and then the spare race wheels for the other.

E55AMG - what did you think was going to be cheap about racing a Porsche?

Was it the Porsche part or the racing part?

with regard to EZ ups, I had the tinker toy set up from Pegasus for a couple of years and kept replacing the conduit tubing used for it, as it kept bending in the wind. Finally gave the parts and tarp to a friend and had my car hauled by a local shop and let them screw around with canopies and such things

the cool thing about EZUP (not the $99 ones), Caravan, Undercover, etc are that you can buy replacement parts. Ive got a 10x20 Caravan that's about 7 years old and has been through hurricanes (NASA Nationals in 2008), snow, wind storms, etc and still going strong.

Yep, 1300 BTU AC with 6kw generator. Makes comfortable when it is 100+ outside.

I think you meant 13,000 But yea, how can you NOT have AC in your enclosed?! I think I'd melt.

I even got 15k BTU unit, put on those plastic strips on the door, etc.
