Default Dry Sump for a F class Boxster

What would this cost. I think its a good idea to work with the oiling system in the boxster/996 issues. What would this cost. I am really considering campaigning a boxster in F stock next year and have tried to start putting together prices. Thanks for any help.

Pretty positive that you cannot add this to your engine. Unless of course you are going GT...
Rules state, cant modify anything after the airbox or before the exh. 944's would love a drysump, not going to happen in stock classes.

I believe that you can run the Brey-Krause sump extension, which AFAIK corrects the oiling issues in the early W/C cars.

Would a Accusump oil pressure accumulator comply with the regs?

The accusump is an interesting idea. It came up on a weakest link thread on boxcar-racing. I hope it is PCA Stock class legal.

Jim,
I noticed in the thread that you cite:
"Accusumps" since they where developed back in the 80's on air cooled race cars".
I'm dating myself, but the Accusump was first made by Mecca and was sold in the old Oscar Koveleski Autoworld Catalog as early as 1972. One of the selling points was the ability to open a valve and use the accumulator to lubricate the engine prior to start. I can only imagine how much engine life that would add to a vehicle.
I believe that the Accusump is okay for SCCA Showroom Stock.
Jim S.
