One of the smoothest laps I've seen of Sebring.
Thanks for posting.

Just rename the file to delete the .txt suffix. The OS will ask you to confirm the change in file type to MP4, then open the file, it will show up in Quicktime.

Nice work. I've never driven Sebring -- it looks like it's flat and mostly asks you to maintain speed through the turns and memorise the turn-in for the more blind lines through the turns. Only a couple of spots where a mistake would be costly.

Nice . . . looked too easy, which, with a good laptime, is an easy indicator of nice driving.

That helmet . . .though . . . should be silver with a big blue star on the side

Really enjoyed watching it Petu-- enough that I watched it twice! Nice lap, and there was a nice save while trailbraking in there as well!!

Never been to Sebring, but I am going for work the week after next!

Jim, I'm guessing about 120 mph?

Danny, as you know, stock 993 gearing sucks... Through 2-4 2nd is little too low and 3rd little too high, also T13 has the same problem. Some times I take them in 2nd, some times in 3rd, I think in third you feel you're not fast since the car is not pulling well but that helps you to be more smooth so it's a toss of what's faster.

Helmet: I know Dolphins have sucked lately but I'm not giving up on them! No way I'll have a silver helmet with a star!

Jim Child, Yeah... That's why I left me screaming after the lap, funny and I guess little embarrasing...

Everyone who hasn't driven at Sebring and thinking of going, it's definitely a track to drive! It's not that smooth though, especially T17 is very bumpy but the layout, history & everything makes it one awesome race track. Make sure you put it on your "list".

Everyone, thanks for the nice comments!

Petu,

I knew you weren't a TRUE 'merican. It is tough being a Cowboys fan in DC. Oh well, I will give you a bye.

!
I had exactly the same problem. I tried once the 2nd gear on turn 5 and the car was very nervous, my tail hang out so fast I did not know what hit me. I guess the combo of trailbraking, downshiftinng and too much entry speed will do that to ya In retrospect I should have slowed down more at the entry and try again, but I never thought about it as 5 is pretty slippery. I agree with you 3rd feels too slow, because of my extra weight I was always left for dead on the straights and 5 is a pretty important corner as is 13. Now having seen you do it there is no doubt in my mind that your way is faster. Thanks for sharing Petu!
