Default Divorce lawyer - group buy

My wife and I had the "racing" conversation last night. I think I might have oversold the virtues of "just doing DE" when I got into this - my bad. I felt like the proverbial one legged man in an *** kicking contest. So looks like divorce is my only option. Who's with me? I'm figure there's got to be 5 or six guys on this board in the same spot. How about a group buy on a racing inspired divorce?

Seriously though, how do you sell racing to the significant other?

I sold it by taking her to select venues that also have cool cities (or art colonies or wineries) nearby, and help her feel part of the experience w/o being stuck at the track watcing us go around all day.

I feel your pain... My wife and I where blessed last year with a baby boy about 8 months ago. So I thought it was very considerate of me to buy an already built Class I (SP2) race car, compared to spending the time building one myself. The mistake I made is that I brought the car home without telling her my plans....

Somehow I managed to keep the wife, the baby, and the car... but at least I have learned how to make my couch more comfortable then my bed!!

What's racing? Deny it's existence, "plan a lot of business trips". The less they know the better. They don't even have to know you have a race car if you don't bring it home

I was lucky to have made very clear from the get go ( when I met my wife) that my passion is Porsche cars and racing. When it came time, there was not even a conversation about it... Sometimes though she needs to be reminded of our initial conversation

I think my wife wins the 'most understanding spouse' award. I've got my hands full with our three kids, my racing/de habit and my non-paying part time job, pca national secretary. Never complains or hints that she's fed up with it. She only put her foot down when I wanted to buy a motorcycle. I even tried convincing her that the motorcycle was simply a replacement pit scooter for the track, but it was a no go.

Look at it this way....tell her you don't need a house and all that expensive up keep that goes with it...my motto has always been "You can live in your car, you can't race your house."

Sounds like maybe I should go with my normal operating procedure - ignore it and hope it will go away.

Tell her your other options are taking up gambling, drugs and other women. Seriously, they both cost about the same....
