Crap, I just had some work on my tranny and didn't do the RS flywheel (I was being honest). It's legal now. I wonder who brought that up. Looks like it's time to go back into tranny........

It would have been nice if the minimum weights had been dropped by the 150lbs or make the minimum weights listed include driver.

Wow I never thought the day would come that driver weight is included. Whether the rule makes sense or not aside the only shortcoming I think is that they chose a really low weight. They should have chosen something closer to the average PCA driver weight which from what I've seen walking around the paddock is 175 lbs or so.

I don't understand the tow hook issue. At or above the bumper. Does this mean that factory tow hooks in 911s which are attached to the engine case are no longer legal? What about the front? This is the one that makes little sense to me.

Wow, the weight thing got approved. More donuts for everyone!! Everyone likes donuts and now it matters not how many you eat!
Irrelevant to me, I have an SP3 car which includes driver weight even before this rule.

I don't see how having a set weight for the driver without changing the weight of the vehicle does anything, higher or lower.
Am I missing something here?

Woo Hoo! I can take 80 lbs out of my car!
These changes do change the landscape of C class somewhat. Looks like the 964RS 3.8L is the big dog now, especially now that the 996 X51s are gone.

Not like you'll find one of these to race. They were effectively a street legal 964RSR available in Europe with a very few number produced.

Greg, just that the further the number is below average the faster the cars get on average 06 vs 07 and I would have expected them to get the light guys to add ballast instead of the heavy guys to remove ballast.

Wow, lots of changes for me which means I can dump the sixty lbs of ballast to meet the lowered 3020lb weight of the car, as opposed to the previous 3064lbs, add the aftermarket LSD, add the RS flywheel and clutch and be forced to wear a balaclava to cover my hippie hair.
