Either way Colin, i'm quite sure they are faster than ME! I'll do my best to learn something from anyone willing to ride with me and will be most appreciative of the help...

Colin:
I don't know him. What's his car# and color?

Mark -

Just look for the results for G Stock for all the Eastern tracks (Start with WGI and Limerock, I don't know where else he runs).... then find the fastest G car lap, then find the winner in G Stock. You will see Mr. Ricter's name mentioned here and there.

Edit - Just did a quick look for 2006 - he runs a green 77 911

Limerock - 1st in class, 3rd overall in Green - hold track record
Road Atlanta - 1st in class, 3rd overall in Group 4 - holds track record
Watkins Glen - 1st in class, 3rd overall in Group 1 - holds track record
Mosport - no race this year, holds track record
Sebring - no race this year, holds track record

My car won't be ready in time for the weekend so I will be looking for cars to jump into anyway.

Gary, You are at Summit as I type this, but you may want to consider coming back to Summit with Schattenbaum on the 10th & 11th of September. It's a great opportunity to get on track without much traffic and really do some practice laps...

Love to but already scheduled for something then. I think I will come back next year after they pave... The Home Depot sealer they poured into turn 6 to try and glue the pieces together is a bit like black cobblestones. turn 1 and 5 loosened my fillings...

Was a fun two days so far, had the honor or Mark and Jim riding with me and I was able to get a LOT smoother with their great help.
Mark got a short ride unfortuneately (black flag for a dead car on the track), I think he was taking a liking to my little yellow bomb!

Good meeting you Todd, hope all went well the rest of Sunday. I grabbed a quick run and scooted out for my 6 hour ride home right after. Another 100 laps, more instruction and rides with some G Stock guys and i'll have that track down!

Oh, and congratulations on winning the trophy AND getting the stealth steering wheel award, never have to worry about these walls again! Now if I could only get one for Limerock...

Gary,

It was a real pleasure to meet you! Jim gave you some great pointers; you knew the line pretty well.

Yes, I did covet the sound of your car. Thanks for the great ride.

I wish I could have been there with you guys. Summit is a very fun track.
See you Potomac guys at VIR Sept. 8 - 10!
Anyone else from other regions coming?

Was my pleasure Jim, thanks again for the great input! I got down to 1:33 by Sunday afternoon so I still have 3-4 seconds to go (from what I see from last years G race times) but I wasn't driving at my limit (turns 3 and 10 need improvement at least) so it's not too far off. It's fun to run with a PCA Region when it's their Home track, everyone (in general) is quite fast and traffic moves along well. If you guys ever get up to Limerock I hope I can return the hospitality!

As far as G goes... ummm.. hope I finish! My guess is you will do quite well in D though!

On another note, any news on how the surgery went on that instructor's arm? Hope all is well with him.
