Hey Gary,

Dave's surgery went well and he will have 100% use of his arm once he recovers according to the doctors. His season is over but he will be back next year. Glad he is doing relatively well.

Too bad you were not in Black. You could have had some fun with me and a couple of other Rennlisters, including Kurt M. peddling the snot out of his 912. Kurt and I were having a great time during the last run on Sunday. I had been experimenting with LFB. Kurt was running so well that it took me longer than it should (in my car) to catch him (I was running 1:35-1:36 while LFB and concentrating on smoothness of pedal inputs -- I find that I brake more when I LFB but I expect to do the opposite once I get more comfortable), and then once I passed him he picked up his game (we were running 1:32-1:33 as soon as I passed him )and I could not put much space between us until I stopped LFB Darn'it Kurt!

Nice to meet you, and I am glad you got to meet Jim, Mark and the rest of the guys who frequently run with us. It is a good bunch.

Next time Todd... next time! For just having my one year DE anniversary I should be happy to be in White, though I will be evaluated for CVR Black very soon from what I hear..

I though you would never catch up. About time, have a nice pass on the left my friend...Game on!
Thanks for pointing out that I was driving the DE instructing line in the 7.8.9. set. You would pull me there and that end of Summit is my world. Getting pulled on the straight in a 90hp 912 is normal, getting pulled in the corners is a **** off. Lets keep pissing each other off and hit sub 1:30s. Next stop, VIR where us low hp cars got no game...

I often think that the 6.7.8.9. set is "easier" to drive in a low HP car because I am full throttle from entry of 6 all the way until a tap before 10. If I am on my game, I don't even have to do any blips to control oversteer . . . just full throttle and hang on . . . managing squirm by being very.very.very. gentle with steering inputs. Now, if you have to add part throttle/modulation/blips to that equation, it might be too easy to let off the gas too much.

I can't wait to try a higher HP again now that I feel like I am starting to really get it.

I definitely pull you on the straights, but I think the main place I gain on you is actually in the braking zones. When I want to create space on you, I just have to drive without making mistakes and brake way later (but not necessarily that much harder). That seems to work best. Why don't you buy a '44?
