question from a non-racing rank DE novice...

it seemed that the camera car didn't slow down at all, maybe didn't even change his trajectory - is this what you all would have done for accident avoidance?

Listen to the motor sound--he may have gotten out of the gas to slow?

When a car spins that hard it is essentially braking (slowing down) the following car was doing a good job of watching where to go and what to avoid. Full stop would have invited an entering car to run him over. In tight corners, if the car in front over cooks the corner, they tend to accelerate off the track changing forward momentum into lateral speed. But in a spin, you saw the car managed to clip both sides of the track. It really was a crash without the .......thud!!!
