Cold, start low 30's, I found 40/42 range hot. You will need to pit 2/3 times on hot tires to adjust. Drive the tires hard and come in hot. They did not get greasy as the 05's normally do.

I was running lower pressures for my car. Hot pressures were 37 front and 39 rear. The grip was terrific and they never felt greasy, even after an hour in the enduro. I set my fastest time on lap 20 which equates to around the 43 minute mark at the Glen.

Dont they recommend setting the cold pressure by car, fuel & driver weight?

I have run 245/35 fr, 285 rear, then changed to 245/35 fr, 295/35 rear which was good, new config: 245/40 fr, 295/35 rear. The 245/40 is MUCH wider than the 245/35, but is the proper height. 295's fit no problem, but will rub without monoball bushings.

Braking on the 245/40 is significantly better than any other tire I have run. My car is a pig, stock D no ballast 3041 lbs. Camber 2.1 rear (better wear on the inside), 3 deg up front.

Cold pressure is only and always just a starting point from which the tires will heat up to their operating pressure. It is the proper hot pressure that we are looking for, and then measuring the tire when it is stone cold will give the starting point for next time.

Thanks Bob, I take it you see better wear with the R06 than the previous model especially since the 295 has a better load rating than the 285.
