Ahh, but at least we'll be able to pave it and open it. The report makes for interesting reading, and I'm sure the next three years will be a bit stressful for us, but hey - we've got a new track to run!

I took my Mazdaspeed 6 around it last Friday, hit 100 mph on Rocky Road, and that was going into a loose gravel braking zone. Now I can't wait to run the p-cars on the asphalt.

To everyone who has supported Calabogie since its inception, a great big thank you, and make sure to look for me at the track whenever you are there.

I'll post an update once the asphalt is down.

Cheers,
Bruce

Great Bruce. I can't wait to come up and try it.....while acting right around the near-track roads and spending money at the local businesses, hopefully helping to sell a longer term plan.

What was your lap time in the Mazda? I think I'll head up there this weekend in my AWD Volvo and see if I can beat it. It will be the only chance I have of being faster than you

Congrats on the "victory" . Can't wait to drive it.

Congrats Bruce! I also had fun trying the track out in its gravel form but I am sure it will be much more fun when its covered in black gold.

OK, it's paved and it's opening next week. I ran it for 5 hours on Tuesday in the GT3, I finally had to stop when I started to feel motion sick. What a blast!

The track is has very good flow to it at speed, it really rewards patience and rythm, it absolutely punishes impatience and ham fistedness. I'll be doing video next week and will post the vid on the website when it's done.

No disclaimer on this post, I'm like a proud poppa and want the world to know that the track is ready.

Awesome Bruce.

Geoff W, Santi & myself will be at the BMW club event in Oct. Unfortunately Santi & I have a work commitment 14/15 or we'd be there as well.

To say we are looking forward to running there would be a gross understatement.

Chris.

Your wife may think something is up when you take the race car with you to go see her family

From my house:
WGI: 5 hours
Mosport: 3.5 hours
Tremblant: 2 hours
Calabogie: < 1 hour
