Should be coming to the US sometime this year according to this:

I'll believe it when I see it--and I hope to see it soon.

I talked to my Toyo Motorsports dealer. The R888 is coming and is a replacment for the RA-1.
Compound is supposed to be the same as the RA-1, but with different tread pattern. That should mean similar life to the RA1.
It will take a while for them to come to the States and be availale in a wide range of sizes. The RA1 will be around through 2007 and most likely 2008 as well.

I buy my RA-1's from Roger Kraus, and as of two weeks ago they have heard nothing from Toyo about the R888. I've got enough RA-1's to last the season. I would consider switching to the Nitto NT01 if it were proven to be faster without too much compromise in longevity.

I have just finished my 4th Track Day with the Toyo's . Two rainy days and two wet.
EXCELLENT wet tyres ( with low rain ). REALLY GOOD. VERY progressive . Only 2 seconds slower wet than dry on a 1'56" lap !!
On dry I have lost nearly 1,8 seconds against my previous times with MPSC's on a 1'52" lap.... I can not guarantee that the loss is due strictly to the tyres..( different day, different mood..?)
BTW... THe two days that I have tracked when raining, the MPSC's owners........couldn't run with they cars..!

Maybe I should put in my order for a second set of rear NT01s, even before I try them.
Edit: I just did. Delivery time of 6-8 weeks for the 315s.
