Default Racers Group Sway Bar Bushings/Brackets 993

I have a Racers Group rear sway bar of the 22 mm size. Last night while going over the suspension I noticed that the bracket and bushing on the driver's side is completely missing and the passenger side bracket was way loose.

I must really suck because my fastest times of the last weekend were late Sunday. I never even noticed I was running without a rear sway bar. I am goping to have to rethink my settings because the car was the best handling then it was all weekend.

Anyway, my question is whether the bushings and brackets are Racers' Group parts or are they Porsche parts. I need the parts by Thursday to get them installed before Mid-Ohio. I'd rather not have to do it at the track if I can avoid it. I can get them quicker via the local dealer if they are just Porsche parts. Racers' Group must be busy because no one returned my call (I'd have to overnight the parts from CA anyway at this point).

Thanks

Call TRG again and ask for Geoff in parts. You may have to try a few times but once you get him phone he'll give you your answers.

Thanks. I PM'd Viperbob who is taking care of me. I should have just done that in the first place.

So are they stock Porsche parts or TRG parts?

I don't know. The racers group website says the bars come with polyurethane bushings so those are item specific. (makes sense because the bars are much bigger than stock). Not sure about the brackets/bolts though. I'll ask VB and re-post.

The bushing is from TRG and the bracket is a Porsche part. At least, that's the way it is setup on my car.

Thanks for the info. I did not do the original set up so I wan't sure. I felt the bushing was different bcasue the old bushing is still on the old bar. I could not find any brackets in my box though.

George, how are the Motons working? Any luck on the size of sway bars you ended up using? I am still getting faster on the TRG setup you were kind enough to send me.

Bob, I'm still working them out. So far so good but I'm trying to solve some oversteer issues, I think they are alignment related. I was out all Saturday tuning but I'm not sure I got anywhere. I need to pick a tire and size and stick with it. I have so many different types and sizes that a change from one to the other changes the car.

I'm still using the big TRG bars and don't think I'll change. But hell, I swear I always say that and then the next day something catches my eye.

I'm glad you are enjoying the setup. It served me well and I'm sure I'll be missing it until I get mine tuned.

George
