Default goodyear slicks

The ice car can run rear tires up to 325/660 but the choices are slim. I now have Dunlops 300's on the rear which will be fine but they are lost inside the body work. Goodyear has a tire that looks perfect size wise anyway.
The RSR tires are too big and the basic cup tires are too small.

Anyone racing on Goodyear slicks?

What about the Yokohama 320/650-18s? I used them and loved them on my TT. Don't know anything about the Goodyears

Based strickly on the feedback from this forum. 18" GT slicks ranking:
best= Michlens
2nd Dunlops
3rd Yokos
17th Pirellis

I know someone who practices on Hoosier slicks (wet cup) and races on Michlens.

Bill,
Ran on GoodYear Eagle GT radials for years.....very, very sticky with great longevity....downside is they are expensive but worth it.....430 compound works great in the warmer times of the year and the 210 compound in the fall and early spring would be ideal.

Thanks. That is good to know. The Dunlops are no "deal" and longevity is qualifying and one sprint race.

I don't disagree with your rankings Bill. Just for the sizes you are looking for I thought maybe the Yoko might be a good size.

Hey Bill,

That's plenty of tire under there.....!! If you want more use the 335/660 Dunlop...but trust me the car will not be short of rear rubber on the track...

Hey Mitch,

Ya, had a great time...!! Turned a 1:40.04 in the enduro race but oil pressure gauge started flicker so I shut it down and didn't finish.

Had a really good sprint race with Tony Clinton and Bobby.....? we swapped the lead for the first 7-8 laps and put on a good show..!!
