Default Calling Bullsh1t on this thread

I don't see how the following statement is insulting to anyone:

I also do not see why it is helpful or necessary for 20 guys to pile on the same bull**** every time.

The tone of intolerance and arrogance in this thread is nothing but a pathetic display.

Things belong in context and history. Tim's comments, and everyone else's including mine, are taken along with the past comments and history.

Tim made his presence known to much of the Rennlist community with a very interesting thread that someone else just linked. There are some real gems in there, including a definition by Tim of just exactly what constitutes 'slow'. His recent fight with Mike in Chi resulted in a vastly different definition, by Tim of what constitiutes 'not slow'. Interesting comparison. If I, or anyone else, overreacted to Tim's comment, that this thread calls BS, then I think it needs to be viewed in the context of Tim's past interactions with the people here. You will also find in the below thread where Tim lets all of us know, in no undertain terms, what constitutes a person of 'low character'.

Frankly, this thread is a fascinating read (and I had not part in it):

Tim at his best?

Unless and until Tim owns up to his past behavior I will always attach that history to everything he posts here. If HE wants to change that, then HE has the opportunity to apologize when he attacks, and to change his interaction with others. If he wants to continue the way he has, that is certainly his right. Just as it is the right of anyone else here to respond to his posts and his history and his baggage.

Chris, I am pretty sure you think I (and others) are being very unfair to him, but after seeing this old thread again, I don't think it is out of line. This forum has forgiven many people who have behaved badly when they changed their ways. Tim has elected not to do so. His call.

Mark, don't worry. I think the vast majority of us understand exactly what you are saying. Furhtermore Tim has a tendency to attack those who disagree with him and he tells everyone (including you) how much smarter he thinks he is. The bottom line is Tim asks for it so people pile on.

For me, his ideas have just become amusing. I don't have a problem with him having the ideas he does. Doesn't matter to me. What I don't like is how he talks to others. He may as well talk about our mothers.

If those who disagree with him a low character, I'll drink to low character.

You mean T*D, with the brown SC with a different tire at each corner? Nah, never heard of him.

George I think we can go further...

No matter what their experience and skills, the vast majority of people on this board are friendly, tolerant, gracious and open to other opinions. And their threads reflect that.

I agree Mike.

Hey, BTW, I think I should be the official poster boy for Hey Wait For Me Racing.

Why?

Because I'm slow at two kinds of racing. It's all about being out there!

From this past weekend's half marathon, finished in a "blistering" 2:49:16. Shoot, I even got lapped (2 lap course) before half way!

George, you're obviously highly qualified, but I never, ever want to see that on a poster, especially on one with our team name on it, so you can't be poster boy. Sorry.

I think most marathons are run at paces faster than you do a half-marathon.

How about Team Half-fast Specialist?

I wouldn't want to see that on a poster either.

Most marathons are won in less time than I ran that half. When I finish a marathon the victory parties are over. Now that's slow.

How about just Team Specialist - slow in two kinds of racing.

Or maybe: Team Ringer - slow in two forms of racing.

If you're slow in two kinds of racing, are you twice as slow as the rest of us? (Maybe my math is bad here)

How about "Slow to the second power"?

That would be a unique team function...

Did you do any G-SUM calcs for your performance in that half-marathon? If so, I'd be interested in the results.

Wow, thanks Chris. It takes strength, courage, conviction, and most of all character to confront the “bullies” here and I sincerely appreciate the effort. As you have seen already and sadly, are likely to continue to see, it will change nothing. As TD said, if I choose to remain active in this forum, and not denigrate myself to their levels, I need a beak and feathers … quack.
