Targa Newfoundland 2005
Well, we're off!!
As many of you know, Casey Holzman and I competed in the Targa Newfoundland Road Rally race last year and did pretty well. (read the account of our trip at Exclusive Motors, Inc. go to News & Notes) So, instead of just chalking it up to a "once in a lifetime" event, we are going back again this year to do even better. Casey has built a killer car that is being sponsored by Continental Tires and Exclusive Motors that we hope to win with. Nadine (my wife) is going up to work on the race committee, and Aaron and Keith from Eurowerks here in Charlotte, NC are coming as our crew. See info about the event at Targa Newfoundland
Casey and Nadine have left today, and I head up on Friday. We also have added another car team to the Fast Trac Racing stable - A Porsche 911 being campaigned by Bob Hollingsworth and Andy Hanson. It promises to be an exciting trip. The race itself runs from Sept 12-16.
So, for all those that wish to follow our progress, go to the Targa website, or for some race results, go to http://www.rallyscoring.com/results/ . They will start posting results after the race starts next week.
Wish us luck, and we'll hopefully make all the Porsche drivers out there proud!!

I've been thinking of one day entering T. N. It looks like lot of fun and very interesting (based on the little I've seen on TV and the story on Excellence).
Car looks awesome, good luck, make us proud!

Bob,
Good luck in the Targa. Being a native of Newfoundland (the Targa runs through my home town), I follow the event every year, although one of these years, I should just drive it.

You really should run it with that "completely stock" 87 Targa.
You would have an absolute blast, and not have to spend the zillion $$ to get your car and you there...
Which town? Do we stop anywhere near you or just "pass through"?

The Targa Newfoundland guys are great - but they love their Ferraris...
If you'd like to read about what is going on for this year - the preview was in the Jul/Aug issue of Auto Events. www.autoevents.org
