Joe Lash will be driving our car in D and I will be running it out of class in, get this, GT2S. I will certainly make the HWFM team proud. Hope to be there Thursday night.

John, try to talk Susan into letting you come and play in E...I was looking forward to a rematch w/some fresh tires and the real speed secret, a newly painted front bumper!

Jeff

Believe me I tried. She put me up into the Red run group since Joe is driving in class. I lobbied her for a class where there were less than three other so I could podium, but she stuck me in GT2S where there are 4 cars. I will be doing great (awesome) if I can keep from getting lapped. That's my goal.

I wll be doing the enduro in class though. Are you?

Yeah, I'll be enduroing...probably doing the entire race solo, but may grab a co-driver.

Jeff,

It looks like there is another 74 Euro Carrera in E. Just think, if you bring yours we'll have 3! I have no idea what to expect, haven't driven RA for a long time but really looking forward to it. Should be a really great place for the 944T though so I'm just hoping for a respectable finish with all you guys.

Looks like Joe, Mike and Eric will be in our run group so it should be a lot of fun. Eric, what's your target time for your red monster? 2:39?

Tristan,
Are they letting you run in E! I didn't know there was another Euro 911 that is club racing. We'll have to look him up and see what he has. I don't have a lot of track time out there either. My car's have bugged out over the last few races/de's. Fortunately, Mike has let me co-drive so I have kept my familiarity with the track but I do not have a complete lap with the 944! Feel like a total rookie all over again.

2:39? 2:34 may put me in the middle of the pack
Of course to get to a 34 I have to: not lift at the Kink ,take turn one at 85+mph and get a great tail wind!

Eric,

2:39 would be nice and easily do-able in your car. It's a healthy goal to have. Go get it.

See you there.

2:39 would have put you 2nd in F and 4th overall in the E/F group last year.

2004 Qualifying times:

Code:
D Robert Van Zelst 2:34.6 White/Green P 88 944T
E Justin Draper 2:36.4 Black S 89 944T
F Mark Hupfer 2:37.7 Silver 79 911 SC

Jeff
Go to Kurt Konrath's site and download the video of the Gingerman sprint race. If you go to the 3 minute, you see me from Kurt's view just behind me and at the 3:55 mark, my huge slide in T2 followed nicely by agricultural excursion in T3. I knew I was loose (what was I thinking adding more rear bar for the race?)but the video makes it look worse than it felt. Anyway, here's the link if you haven't seen it, it's a neat perspective. http://www.softrightinc.com/video/20...man_sprint.wmv
