Default The Maestro

Correction 1: The driver is Stefan Roser. A car control god.
Correction 2: Kinda crazy? He is crazy. But a master at making a 911 his bitch! He uses a sideways slide as his only means of decelleration most of the time. He is the Maestro of the Ring in a turbo Porsche.

I bought this on video a few years ago and burned to dvd. I have probably watched it 100 times...and still love it. I think it helped me with the amount of correction needed when I first started....not the drifting stuff though. I wish they had more helicopter footage.

Thanks for posting. Amazing video! Get Stefan a helmet and a short-shift kit for that car!

Oh... just great!

Thanks a lot! If any of my students for this summer comment about seeing this here, I'm going to have to hurt someone!

Don't try this at home... kids. Not at your next DE either.

Love these movies, even if they are old - hard to get tired of!

If you have driven at the Ring, you know he is NUTS! There is just no room for error there and at those speeds...oh, the control - how does one get there?

So we aren't supposed to drive like that at DEs??? I've really got to rethink things.

That just looks surreal.... he looks like he's out for a Sunday drive, maybe after one too many coffees. What really blows me away is how there is other traffic on the course, and he's passing them like they're standing still. The motorcycles look like pedal-bikes!

I somehow feel oh sooo inadequate now... maybe I'll take up knitting or something. *sigh*
