Helmet Painting Ideas

I am going to paint my helmet. My suit is a joke so I might as well be a full blown a&& clown and get a killer helmet design.
I am thinking of a caricature of my car going into hyperspace (Star Wars style). What do you think? Any other ideas?

Mine was done by Kuzzins Kustons. It was $600 for my basic design, so figure accordingly.

I don't know if he does the cartoon character stuff but there are plenty around that do.
I like the Rat Fink. Showing my age I guess, but I would imagine I'm in very good company here.
Depending upon the design you select for the rest of the helmet, I have great idea for the top!

Mine was a gift from the wife and kids:

It was done by Bullseye Visual in Indiana for about $700 IIRC (which included a $100 rush fee+ FedEx 2 days, etc)

(I am told that Andy Pilgrim is also a fan of Ren & Stimpy, so I'm in good company).

They do many of the top karters here in SoCal. He did my helmet last year for about $600 and it turned out great. I believe he's (Alex) paints the helmets for Townsend Bell, Patrick Long & Alex Barron.

I just bought a new Sparco helmet and they were very explicit about not painting the helmet. Something about chemical interactions and a voided warranty. Not that I would be around to collect on a defective helmet warranty.
Is it ok to paint other brands?

from Bell's website:
It is ok to paint my helmet?
We would recommend using a professional painter who specializes in painting auto racing helmets. Use acrylic enamels and avoid lacquer paints. Never allow solvent or paint to come in contact with the inner liner as they contain chemicals that can cause serious damage. We also strongly recommend trying on the helmet to make sure the size is correct prior to sending it to a custom helmet painter.
