Wondering if anyone else has seen or heard of this?
Jikes Jack! If thats a road racing simulator it looks like its for simulating the Boston Marathon, not the one at Le Mans. Can't figure out how from the pictures of the unit what the heck it is that they do or how it relates to racing games.

BTW, Mr. B. check out my web site and click on the Whitey in for surgery link. Redoing the car yet again...left Kevin going to Kenny Conway now. Full cage, coilovers the works. Where we gonna meet up this year. You coming to Zone 1 or should we meet at VIR or the Summit Point Club race?

soory for the OT:
RJ - Interesting...
I'm looking at a slow year - whining about $$ again - its pathetic! I'll do at DE at Road Atlanta in mid-March, then the CR in early April. After that, who knows. Probably a Roebling DE in November to prep for the race in December. And probably another DE or 2 at Road Atlanta, but I'm going to just try to tread water this year. One of these years I'll get to VIR and I'll do a road trip to the Glen - probably for Zone 1 DE and Club Race. Wish it was this year, but its not gonna happen...

I have gotta get one of those!
That is too cool.

Give me that and GTR with VIR's full course, and I would be happy.

Here are some updated shots of my simulator.

I have now adjusted the clutch and throttle tension to act very similarly to my Porsche. I was changing the brake pedal to match the pressure of my StopTech brakes and bent the brake rod. I will strengthen it and everything should be fine. I still need to mount the head tracking and will try off of the back of the racing seat.

Yes, when you move your head, you can look into corners, check your mirrors, look to see if you can pull off a pass, etc. Way cool!

But when you move your head won't it be hard to see the screen?

CC, any further update?

Does GTR have a car similar to our Porsches?

Does GTR have photorealistic tracks?

I note that GT5 is scheduled to come out 1Q06 with the PS3. I have seen the 'ring with GT4 on the PS2 and it's pretty good looking. I'd like to have a sim to learn some tracks.

Chris:
I haven't played with it since winter. The game does have a GT-2, I think a tt and some cups. Yes, photorealistic tracks. My favorite is Spa.

Thanks, Tim. I think I'll spring for it for the PC. I'm looking ahead to four months (Dec-Mar) with just the Winter autocross (weather permitting) and no DEs....

I have the game and can't run it! I'm trying to run it on a laptop with:
XP Home Edition, 1.73GHz P4, 1GB RAM, 1.5GB Virtual, 38.7GB disk free out of ~52GB.
When I try to run it, it tells me that I have insufficient swap space or virtual memory and that 150MB is required. The last time I checked, 1.5GB was MORE than 150MB.

Am I missing something?
