Don't forget to add internet access of some sort. I suggest wireless as it is the most flexible.
You should also give lots of consideration to drainage. You might want to contact a garage expert (ie Ultimate Garage) and express your needs. It never hurts to ask a pro, although it sounds like some of the guys around here have more than enough experience.
I have noticed that your decisions will probably be driven by how much fluff vs. function you want. Some go for the nice tile, fancy lighting, etc. Others basically build a small pro shop. I would lean towards Helmut's suggestions because I think the cuteness of fancy materials would wear off quickly.
Also, in my opinion, some of the neatest setups have a loft for storage/office space. You might look into building an external set of stairs and a dumbwaiter-style hoist (probably for parts and tires) to a loft space above the garage. Although if you have an abundance of land it might not be worth it.
