Default 993 Cup Steering wheel?

Anyone have one hanging around that they are not using and would like to sell?

Kary - I wouldn't bother with a used one as it's like to be worn where your hands go. The suede gets matted pretty quickly.

If you don't care that Porsche is written on the wheel, you can buy a MoMo Mod 7, same wheel at a at fraction of the price. You can also go to Schatz motorsports. They sell both the Porsche wheel and the MoMo. I have often seen the Mod 7 on Ebay for est. $175.

The matted suede can be restored with a brass suede brush. Brush often to keep it looking good.

Kary,
Contact David Schardt at www.wheel1.com if you want to become a MOMO distributor. He also retails these parts if you just need one.

Approximately $400 (300 Euro) for a steering wheel is about twice the other wheels which are MOMO anyway.

Talking Wheel with Air Bag

Sam,

We have done some business in the past, or is my mind playing tricks on me?

The reason for the air bag wheel is very simple and it all goes back to Fabsport Supercup mufflers and the Fabspeed carbon fiber airbox. The car sounds so damn good now, I find myself making excuse to drive it. I am on the public roads a lot more often since the mufflers were installed. I receive no compensation for my Fabspeed plugs; I just like the way they sound, bad ***!

Since I only use stock lap belts on the street, I am thinking it would be nice to have an air bag, just in case. I love the feel of the Cup Steering wheel so I don't want to put the stock wheel back on

By the way, the Cup Steering wheel from Gert is now $315 Euros, + shipping and duty. That is getting the cost close to $500 US, ouch!

The AJ with airbag is about $740 + shipping. The 3 spoke 993 air bag wheel, not so certain what that costs now. I am researching it. I will buy it from Gert if I can. I will get the factory wheel over the AJ USA wheels if the price delta (costs more!) is not that great. I simply prefer factory parts whenever possible....that is the long story.

Have a great holiday season.

Best regards,

Thanks Martin. Yes, I purchased your RS wing. (STILL not installed) Have had a blast doing a few events with the locals. Quite addictive. The Supercups are intoxicating. Even some Ferrari guys have commented on how they sound! I get asked about them all the time.

Talking AJ USA Wheel, sorry to report....

The internet price of $739...crest extra, is what it is. The Parts Manager Nick Otavino says that he doesn't have much margin to work with on this product . Oh well...$300 more for )EM, or save $300 on the AJ USA, what a dilemma! I am very proud to say that this is one of my big decisions that I am dealing with today: Life is good!

I have decided I have compulsive spending disorder. I went to AJ USA and waked out with a wheel...paid the $739 + tax, hold the crest please. I will mount it up tomorrow, hopefully.
