Maybe. Now that I have a car that was actually built for a specific class (964t in D class) I have been thinking about it more. When I had the modded 914, Club racing was kinda out of the question since I would have been in GT3 (and the thoughts of going against Keith Peare and Roy Chong was a bit intimidating).

Cool , let me know if you need anything to get the ball rolling. Now start working on the rest of the GTC.

Alright Pesky !!! Come on in the water is warm. We need more D cars !!! By the way I agree with Manny as a great pic. When the green drops he turns into a killer. He cracks me up off the track too. I would also mention Jeff Burger and Bob Scotto as 2 guys who have been doing it right for a long time in this sport. Cory Friedman and Leh Keen got their start in PCA and have made it to the podium of Grand -am. They are both very talented and good guys as well.

You've got my vote for Jeff Burger or Gregg Wilson. Both two genuinely nice guys, and the fiercest racers you'd ever want to compete against.

There are sooo many, just want to throw Rick DeMan's name into the ring, for performance both on and off track

Sweeeet topic! ... lets put together a "dream team"

The rules:
- can be a racer from now or the past
- no pro driving (or based on their results as PCA)
- *realize I have not met many of these guys, just know them frorm results... outright speed, not character

Stock Class
C: Chris Cerevelli
D: Jeff Burger
E: Ron Savenor... still thinking about this, might not be based on all contingencies listed before
F: Mark Humpher
G: Mike Ellis / Jim Lewis
H: Ivan Arzola
I:

GTC 1 : Jeff Burger
GTC2:
GTC3: Chris Wally, Tim Rosegrandt, Leh Keen
GT5R: Kyle Dolbow
GT3s: Mike Bavaro
GT5s: Bill Miller
GT4: Keith Peare, Tim McKenzie

...more thoughts to come, i know i messed up a lot of these names, SORRY guys!

What I'd like to see the most? All the old F troop (plus Mark H) in identical cars around Laguna Seca (or any other track they've never driven)... this means you too Larry Herman

The next topic can be the "dream team" of the best cars for each stock class

Mitch, I like the idea of a stock class car dream team thread. Why don't you start one.

Here's a GTC'er that would love to jump in the ring, but doesn't have the $ to do it (the way I'd want to) yet. Someday.

While I certainly don't know many of the drivers list (and they are all sure a heck of a lot better than I am), I'd vote for Keith Peare. Just a couple of lap times to back up my choice:

Watkins Glen 2:01.2 (typically top 10 overall, despite being in GT4R)
Lime Rock 56.1 (tied with Rick Deman for the fastest time ever run at LR in a PCA race)
Mosport 1:30.4
Pocono North 54.6

All that in a 2.8L 914/6 (maybe 300hp?). Having ridden with Keith at Watkins Glen I can attest it is an unholy experience. I swear he hardly braked for the busstop.

Oh, and he a very down to earth and nice guy.
