Hey Skip I did see yours at MAM. But I do not bother other racers with questions during a CR. Good suggestion, I like the countdown too. Not space challenged either! Thanks!
V....I saw yours at the .org very nice indeed but too much for me to invest in right now plus IIRC you need to purchase separate senders? Was the 500 with all the senders you needed or the basic system with a couple of features ie. tach, temp etc? Dal

Well, the basic system is actually closer to $300, with only RPM (incl shift lights, no gear indicator), laps (times, etc), and one temp. That's actually a kart unit. The $500 gets you into the car units, with speed sensor, gear indicator, and so on. They come with the speed sensor (which I put on the trans) and one temp sensor (T-couple or EGT). I plan to tag in other sensors to my existing pressure and temp senders - just need the connectors from them (on order).
Just used it this weekend... way too freaking cool! Loved it! Helped me rip a whole second off of my best previous time! Shoulda bought it a long time ago. The blinking shift lights, without question, are one of the most useful things, but also I do have to admit that knowing my lap times while on track is pretty darn nice!

They are cool! The hi end system is quite the set up! I just may have to save up and reward myself with one! See me about some new numbers for your car though. I have a place here that does vinyl graphics and pretty reasonable especially if one has the info saved on disk. That 77 just doesn't do the paint justice. You know Vaughan it is important to looooook good! lol...Thanks..Dal

BTW, Im in the process of making a dash cluster right now that is flat faced (well, tilted back a bit) so I can install any gauge combo I like.![Smilie](https://rennlist.com/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif)

I use the following tach with a pill type Auto Meter shift light from my Small Block Chevy days. Pretty nice toys you all have. I have the shift light mounted to the front windshield pillar.

I can read the screen while driving, but other than perhaps a glance at the last lap time, I tend to ignore most info while driving and just go with the shift lights. OTOH, so far I've only driven it at Waterford Hills, which is very narrow, tight, and twisty, 13 turns in 1.4 miles, and NO time to rest, even on the back straight! Even without traffic! I'm sure I'll have more time to review data at a bigger track, like Mid-O.
