Default Pitt Race Tips?

Headed to Pitt Race end of next week (6/21-6/23) for PCA Potomac HPDE. I am in the White run group with a 997.1 C2S. I did Pitt Race for the first time two years ago (Blue) and really liked it but had to miss last years (2023) due to family obligations.

As I often do, I ask this forum if they have any good tips for running various tracks, and I am especially interested since it will be two years since I've been to Pitt.

Bruce had a thread (Pitt Race - Rennlist - Porsche Discussion Forums) last year after that event I missed, and it has some good information including this nice video, although I didn't like the split screen effect.

Any other videos or turn-by-turn guides?

I have a one lap video from two years ago. Boy, I was timid in the kink. Love to hear some benevolent input on where I was missing the mark. BTW, I was not tapping the brake during the back esses; just an anomaly of the TA app.

Video from Bruce's thread

My video

Thanks!

My tip. Never stop getting someone in the right seat regardless of how far you progress. Not sure if Potomac formally assigns a mentor to white students but if not ask the CDI.

Your line looks fine. In general all of the curbs are friendly unless it's wet. For the link, keep your eyes up--look through to the corner station. If you need to lift or brake do it but hit the apex under power. Try to get a local instructor in your car if you want to fine tune. Relax and have fun!

Thanks. Totally agree about never stopping with using instructors. I usually am able to get an instructor for one session per day. They are good about it.

Thanks.

I'd suggest Skeen's video as a good reference to start. We were there last weekend - it's a great facility, fun track, and you'll have a blast.

I think that is resolved. Latest MSR page shows everyone confirmed. Only about 40 in Green and Blue, with 70ish in Black and Red.

Hope it's not too hot....

Bathroom and Classroom A/C.

You’re welcome.

Is it this weekend or next weekend for the DE?
Thought it was the following weekend. If it’s this weekend, I screwed up and am double booked.

Lol. Bug spender you are…

Cant wait. We’re back there with Allegheny a couple weeks after that.
NNJR is tagging along I believe.
Wonder if they’ll let me leave my Cayman and trailer. Hmmm…..

I stay at the Microtel in Beaver Falls. 15 mins max to the track. Sals Italian restaurant within walking distance to hotel. Decent food good bar.
Glynny is a big fan of Cranberry Township which is a bit further but has a lot more than Beaver Falls.
He can chime in here if he likes.

Cranberry has some good places. We stayed in Home2 in Monaca and there was some stuff around there too.
