wanted Hans

Got a Hans. Been using these so long its like second nature. I plan on replacing it with another one in a year. Quite frankly, havent look at competitors to see if there is something better in a similar design.
However the hybrid is interesting for PCA instructing novices with seat belts. May be a good idea. Just not crazy about all the straps when running in my car with a 6 pt. A Hans is so easy to use.

don't worry about the straps, nothing gets in the way. it is just as easy to strap in with the hybrid s on, and i like the idea of both my hybrid s and my 6pts holding my head in place

Not trying to argue with you. Sorry if you have had such experiences with students that drove your comment.

Ok, but he probably shouldn't be on a race track then. If a student is that **** about his car then how does he tolerate the normal wear and tear from the track? And I never noticed any imprinting on my leather seats when I used the Hybrid with my 3-point setup. Nothing shows up in my OMP race seats now. At least I don't notice that sort of thing.

For the $$, we really like the Schroth SHR XLT - and it's less expensive than the HANS III. + for Necksgen as well. Feel free to reach out to us with questions!

No, me neither I just know how particular some can be with high value, collectable level cars. It wouldn’t slow me a bit from using a hybrid in my own car, as I do believe they are the best option, just want people to understand that there “can” be implications.

I wouldn’t recommend an open face helmet on a race track , especially if you’re going to instruct at Mosport …
No problem installing a used Hans , as most likely they haven’t been involved in an incident and you can get them recertified.
You certainly don’t want to bounce of the wall a few times coming out of 10 in an overzealous student’s car !
I’ve been using Pyrotect helmets for over 10 years , they are reasonably priced and fit well.Got mine from Irace in Ontario.
Cheers
Phil
