Breaking News on Bloomberg this morning - Rolex out and LVMH in as the title sponsor for Formula 1 for the next ten years.
Tag Heuer is one of LVMH's brands so I imagine the large green Rolex clock will be replaced by a Tag Heuer clock. I've never been a fan of Rolex watches - you walk into a store and they won't sell you one, as if they are Ferrari, but meanwhile every finance bro has a divemaster on his wrist. (Is that drama enough for the Rolex fanboys?)
(In my snooty voice) First of all, there is no “dive master” in the Rolex lineup. Submariner, Sea Dweller or Deep Sea are the commonly referred to dive tool watches in their lineup. Perhaps you were thinking of the Sea Master, which is an Omega. 😂 Yes, it is very Ferrari dealership in that regard but as Ferris Bueller once said, “It’s so choice, if you have the means, you really should pick one up.” 😂
Second, Rolex pulled out of sponsorship in F1 several months ago and Tag was announced shortly thereafter as the replacement.
Ferrari champagne is out as well and LVMH Moet & Chandon will replace it on the podium. LVMH owned Dom Perignon would not have been appropriate to have sprayed and wasted in such fashion. 😀

I have several TAGs and they have always been associated with racing. I have several Heuer vintage stop watches including one that I am mounting on the steering wheel of my air-cooled.
