Good. Ross and I spend a fair bit of time on Tower just for this reason. It should also be 7-9 mph quicker vMin than T10 and WOT point (sooner rather than later) pays quite a hefty dividend through the next sector!

What a great track.

Yes, first time there this year, and I enjoyed the heck out of it. Even the bumps were enjoyable…..

It took me a while to work up the courage to go flat all the way through Bishop Bend. There’s more grip there than meets the eye, but of course the car must be prepared for the off camber Gendebien Bend (Turn 15).

Plenty of time to slow it down, if the line (especially in the middle) allows for the creation of a good straight-line braking zone.

Most of the time is not in Bishops, or even T1, but in two mirror-image sections very similar to each other.

I’ll be back at Sebring in late Jan with Chin and **may** have a surprise for the Porsche community - we’ll see………
The white Challenge car? Fun running with you.

What a great track.
where asphalt transitions to concrete at end of braking zone into 13, there is a “letter T” made be that junction and two blocks of concrete. Put your right front tire on that T, and then you can quickly get to full throttle, taking advantage of the camber at apex to track out with confidence.

i credit this tip to pro coach Ron Zitza. One of my favorite reference point markers on that entire track, and a tip I’ve passed on to many of my students during the years I spent instructing.

Ya, that"s me. I'm generally the lone Ferrari wolf.

Porsche folks are best to run with!

Maybe see you with Chin again in late January.

Our events (NNJR) usually open a couple months before the event, I think.

You can set reminders on MSR for each/any event. See ya at a bunch of 'em.

You gonna come visit me in Sebring this winter? I got a bed for you.....

Happy New Year! Get thee behind me Satan! 😀 A very kind offer we will take up if made another year. None of our cars will be available until March. Change is afoot.

Understood. We will be hosting a few Rennlisters down there this winter. Why not, right? The more the merrier. Looking forward to the 12-inch changes....

Brave New Year my friend...

Looking forward to a great 2024 season. I have never been to Mid Ohio. Can anyone recommend a hotel nearby?

Belleville and Mansfield.

All the chain hotels you could want.

I usually stay in Bellville at the Comfort Suites or the Quality Inn across the street.

Mansfield has a Marriot and the other chain hotels IIRC.

I believe there is a Sleep Inn in Shelby that is popular though I've never stayed there. It's a bit closer to the track which is in the middle of nowhere
