Made it over to the Speedsport tent to say hi to Bruce for a second, but didn't make it over to Mark's. Doing a paddock install of a Vbox HD lite and having trouble with the OLED display.
Glad you guys are rockin' in Super Solo, fingers crossed here that the Solo/Instructor group isn't the poop show it was last year.
My student is driving a 16' Nissan GTR and I've never even sat in a Nissan, will have to ramp up the learning curve fast, looking forward to a fun challenge.

Great to see Bruce and Mark & his lovely wife! I have been coaching several people with Autoquest as well as being race director for all 5 days. And yes, SuperSolo is fast, although some of them (not in this thread) seem to have a problem with running checkered flags

Props to Mike Roblin for an awesome drivers meeting. Track situational awareness and etiquette is way more better than last year

You drove by Speedsport late in the day in your car and I tried to flag you down and ask how it went with your Nissan student but no way you were gonna hear me over your engine...

How'd the student do?

How'd the car do?

Good seeing you pal.

What did you think of the instructor/solo run group?

Hit 'em straight tomorrow...

Thanks guys, just doing my job the best I can…. Glad to inspire the group to be the best they can be. And we had a great day with very few people that the control tower needed me to talk to, a total win win situation!

Huge shout out to the Dreyer’s for unbelievable hospitality! I had the pleasure of those beef Sammy’s for lunch and dinner, mmmmm

Haven't had many students yet, but I don't expect I'll get many that respond to my suggestion that they increase initial brake pedal pressure with " I don't want to wear out my brake pads".
Well ok then, it's your car, we'll just brake way early, focus on the line, point a bunch of cars by, stay safe and have fun. Super nice guy, enjoyed our time.
I'll find you today, my student was a 1 day, so will have lots of time.
Leaving after my 1:00 session though. GO LIONS!

!
Instruct a few more events and what you’ll hear most from early novices is “Will this hurt my car?”, to which I always reply, “yes, it will, unless you listen closely and do everything I ask of you. Then
your car will be fine.”

Works like a charm.

The DE attendance seems to be down from last year. How does the race participation compare?

Fantastic event. What an awesome 5 days.

Thanks to Roblin for the right seating today.
You gave me lots to work on.
Lap times came down significantly in my last 1/2 hour session today, and still lots to work on starting Friday for 10 days. At the very least, I know where to put the car in most corners now, especially T-17. Shoulda never tried to learn that place on my own to begin with. Thanks Mike.

Great time with some really great people, and while cool in the mornings, really great weather for the entire event (except for the end of the enduro when it poured, but that didn’t affect the HPDE side of things).

Great time all around. Thanks to PBOC and staff. Well done.

DE felt pretty light? I hadn't gone in a few years and don't remember it being so quiet?
