Winterfest 2024
Registration is now open for Winterfest 2024. We are now on www.motorsportsreg.com.
Come join us for 5 days of Club Racing and HPDE.
We will be hosting PBOC's first "BMW v. Porsche" race to benefit "Base Camp Goes Racing", PBOC's charity that supports terminal cancer children.
BMW CCA's board has approved PBOC to host "sanctioned" races for 2024. So, for WInterfest we are working through how to coordinate an unscanctioned race for our charity. We will coordinate a points system and most likely host this race in our 90 mintute enduro. Most points wins.
BMW already has their "Chief Steward" and race manager for our Winterfest challenge. We will be looking to invite a Porsche manager, counterpart to help manage the Porsches. If any of you know anyone out there that could serve as a good Chief, please have them contact us.
Additionally, if you are a Porsche racer and can participate we ask that you reach out to us in the meantime as we assemble teams...
Since COVID, our international teams are now returning and grateful to have them back. We anticipate a full event and look forward to seeing you all there.

As it was last year, I’ll be there for all 5 days, as will a bunch of my NNJR brethren, as usual.
Sorry we couldn’t make VIR J. Next season.
Mark, you in? D gonna make some beef Sammy’s again?

We just finalized the schedule yesterday and should be posted on MSR shortly.
Wednesday will be unchanged from last year with 3 run groups running half hour sessions all throughout the day, Super Solo/TT, Advanced, Race/TT, ibid... coupled with night practice in the evening for Racers running the 6 hour enduro.
Thursday-Sunday have modest changes from last year for the TT group, but will otherwise be mostly unchanged.
Posting soon...

Reg on MSR has “Winterfest Lifestyle” as an option.
If that the same as last years event, lunch, massage, etc or is this something new.
What is the lifestyle option about ?
Thanks…

I’m guessing that’s a lounge for spouses of drivers? I recall in years past there was an effort to provide a comfortable environment including food and spa services for the wives, and I’m guessing that’s it?

Yeah, they comped instructors with that last season. I will email John to confirm. The lunches were awesome, way better than typical track food (except for Diane’s). Massages weren’t too shabby either.

I will be there all 5 days, coaching several individual drivers as well as helping PBOC as Race Director. The BMW vs Porsche Shootout will be great fun! Tentatively, it will be run as a race within a race in the 90 minute enduro as well as 2 of the sprint races...

Hahahahaha! No, definitely no McLaren's this time. Clients are all people you likely know from recent events. However, I did succeed in having them change their team name to McLaren Mowing.....t-shirts inbound!!
