Tried various welding supplycos in Atlanta. I saw a guy at Daytona with a full sized (5’ T) tank. So much lighter. I should have asked him where he got it.

I use Central Florida Welding Supply out of Mt. Dora, FL. One of the very few places that will actually ‘sell’ you a bottle, everyone else has gotten into the lease business which is a major PITA when you’re dragging a bottle up and down the east coast.

Edit: They no longer carry aluminum.

I bought my aluminum cylinder from here, great service. Then, just took to welding supply for fill up, $17. These are high pressure alum so welding supply should not give you a hard time.

Thanks - just purchased one as a spare (I learned to NEVER run out of nitrogen when it’s your only way to lift the car), keeping the spare for that very last lift required to put on the transport nuts.

I don't know enough about this so I assume there is no difference between the strength of the steel versus aluminum for holding nitrogen at the pressure needed?

I have a steel tank and would love to get rid of the weight.

Aluminum is the way to go. As it's so much easier to move them around. I didn't know those aluminum bottles are now so expensive.
