Bought my aluminum cylinder at Prestacycle.com, an online bike supply shop. I use a transfill hookup hose and gage to fill the aluminum cylinder from steel N2 cylinders that I have in my garage.

Might also try your local homebrewing supply store and add another hobby for the offseason while you are at it!

Thanks for the shout out. I'm happy to do a good deal on lightweight aluminum N2 tanks (I stock all sizes small to large) for fellow club racers, BUT I can only ship them empty. Finding a local source to fill your nitrogen tank, when you didn't buy the tank from them, can be challenging. Many gas suppliers want to rent you the bottle instead of selling it to you, and many will not fill a cylinder that didn't come from them citing risk & insurance reasons.

Standard aluminum cylinders are good for 2000 to 2200 psig in Canada & USA. Our largest aluminum cylinder holds 265 ft^3, compared to the same size steel cylinder which has a higher pressure rating (up to 4500 psig), which allows it to hold 493 ft^3 in the same physical space. Tradeoff is that the steel bastard weighs 150lbs, the aluminum just 80lbs.

Anyone local in the greater toronto area is welcome to pickup (and refill) cylinders from us at our shop in Oakville, and we also have a cylinder filling station installed inside Braidan Motorsports trackside @ Mosport.

Edit: if you guys have sources for filling your cylinders, our manufacturer is in the USA and we can drop ship these straight to you (empty) from within USA to avoid customs hassles / expenses. Just drop me a note if interested.

They can transfer fill those at any welding shop without danger of overfilling from their big bottles.
