Default 991.1 GT3 rear wing adjustment

I have a new to me 2015 GT3. I was thinking of messing with the rear wing angle. In the manual it mentions that it may cause understeer. Does anyone have experience with this? At Sebring? Is it worth messing with?

Thanks,

I have tested race car aero extensively and at Sebring I have always trimmed for top speed. Unless the loss of mechanical group through Bishop Bend doesn't allow you to go full throttle (unlikely in any car) into T15, more rear wing will just slow you down. I would just try it out and see what happens.

Thanks. Makes sense. I am getting a more aggressive alignment. I’ll lay down some times and then adjust it and see what happens.

I run the wing on the high setting. Since there's no factory adjustment for front downforce I just learned to use the aero balance as is and haven't found any understeer in sweepers up to 120 mph that wouldn't resolve with a slight lift of the throttle.
If you are taking turns in this car where the aero actually makes a difference, do you really not want max downforce?

If you are not limited by grip, then adding more wing for downforce will just simply add more drag and therefore slow you down on the straights. The question was related to Sebring which is a track where most trim for top speed in order to have the best lap time.

I have the same car, have always left the wing in the factory position.

Good advice.
