I know RP. Some here might remember the spec Miata I rented from them at my first ever Potomac event a ways back.

Thanks for RP. I’ll give em a call.
Changing your wheels out at NJMP last year is enough for me, I'll let RP have this call.

No centerlocks this time. The Cayman is handling the track duty this weekend.

Thanks..

Yep, I took it up a notch and am going for the Blue Run Group (Vranko already claimed Green).

It's an arms race, one does what one must (and can afford!). My 991.1 GT3 with factory street tires is at best a mid-pack car in Red these days ...

I'll be bringing up the rear with my lowly Cayman, but I'll catch you guys in the carousel if I'm close enough by T-3....lol.

The only arms race I'll be involved in is the one where my arm is constantly out the drivers side window....

Don't worry, there are some slower older cars in Red for you and I to pass (some of them very well driven), and I'll be giving point-bys to the same modernish race cars as you.

Let's be honest: who among us really wouldn't want to drive Jay's car? I sure would, at least for a season as a bucket list thing.

Keep a close eye on J's closing speed.

One session at Pitt, I was Apexing the kink T-15 and J was coming down the hill out of T-14. By the time I was at 16, he was on my bumper and I pointed him by late coming into 17. That's how fast he closed on me. Beware the Red Rocket. It's a BEAST!!!!

That thing has unreal capabilities, both in corners and on the straights. You've been warned. (Add to that how intimidating the front of that car is in your rear view mirror....)

Duly noted. The cup cars have trained me to recognized that they can appear out of nowhere. If my mirrors are pretty clear coming into T1 at SP, at least I can be confident that I can make to T3 without being caught!

If you're turning in at T-1 and he's at S/F, he will catch you by T-3 with ease. Appearing out of nowhere seems to be his thing now, and he does it well....lol.

I think teleporting is his thing now. He did it to me at Pitt and has done it a few times at Summit, absolutely stupid how fast that thing is...makes cup cars look like slugs. I wish I was going to be there this weekend but I lost my motor at Porschefest and just found a replacement last week. Y'all have fun.

Yikes ...

Jay, what are your lap times at SP in that thing? And most importantly, are you having fun?
