He was one of the big names that got me hooked when I was a kid.

One of a kind for sure. Many good articles at racer.com including a lot of pictures through out his career. I'm sure Robin Miller is really hurting tonight...

Knew Dan Gurney and Swede Savage @ All American Racers as a kid, met Bobby Unser there too. Swede and Dan were local SoCal heroes you could hang with at the shop, precious memories

as impressive as he was, 10 Pike's Peak victories is just mind boggling. Surely the most dangerous race in the world.
