I've told my daughter never to bring someone home who doesn't know how to swing a hammer, doesn't know how to BBQ, and doesn't know how to drive manual transmission.
The list is actually longer than this but you get the idea. I'm in the same boat.

I remember watching Richard Petty climb out of his car after a win and he was wearing what amounted to plain leather low-top lace-up street shoes like you'd buy in the men's department at Sears, black shoes with white socks. And the floors of those race cars on a summer day after 3 hours get really hot.

I love it. You've greatly narrowed the window for her, Todd. You're basically looking for a son-in-law who is the love-child of Norm from "This Old House," Aaron Franklin, and Sabine Schmitz.

Kimi's proudly continuing in the tradition of Hunt, Innes Ireland and "Drunken" Duncan Hamilton (no relation to....), whom the late, great Paul Frere mentions while talking about LeMans 1958 in the August 1986 R&T:
"One of my lasting memories of that race is that I came out of White House during one terrible downpour where you just could not see anything, even looking over the windscreen, and everyone slowed almost to a stop because the conditions were impossible. And I was never so astonished in my life, because all of a sudden Duncan Hamilton in the D-Type went zooming past me......on the pit straight going absolutely flat-out......and he couldn't see anything! He just took a chance."
That's *****.
BTW Frere co-drove that race to 4th place overall in a 1.5 liter RSK. Try that today!
