Beautiful!
Where do you see these cars and GT2 sitting in general with regards to GT3?
They are a similar purchase price to the "cheaper" GT3 cars.
Quicker in a straight line.
Slower elsewhere.
I'm not convinced of the Track Day market. They are too fast for track days.
The running and support costs will be less than most GT3 cars. If on the same grid as GT3 they will be horrible to race against.
Are SRO protecting themselves from GT3 becoming too expensive in the future, similar to GT1 in the past?

On average it will run 3 seconds or so slower than the GT3R but it will be much easier to get a quick lap time relatively speaking.
It will be a sledgehammer down the straightaways but without the massive downforce, won't be able to corner as quickly.
My client's that are buying them will run them in both the SRO GT2 Class next year as well as the Trophy Cup USA Series, both supported by PMNA.
And I am seeing plenty of older GT3 spec race cars at Track Days and Club races, so this could be a great option for someone looking for an easy car to drive with lower running costs.

GT2RS CS @ Track Day before 24-Hr of SPA
YouTube video is self-explanatory and I did a rough estimate of the lap time @ 2:24. The fastest qualifying times have been recorded at 2:19 for a GT3R, that I have seen thus far. I'm sure there will be more videos to come as the weekend races are coming soon.

First GT2RS Clubsport race at SPA is in the books. Great racing by all drivers and cars. Amazed at the quickness of the Porsche 935. Extra aero seems to help. James got pole to start the race. Great race James.

GT2RS CS slotted in well, and if I heard it correctly set a 2:22 qualifying lap time, ahead of time posted for the McLaren Senna with a 2:24 according to FastestLaps.

Thanks for the links sbriscoe!
Super exciting line up of GT2s and 935s, haven't seen any similar races since the 993GT2 days James was kicking *** first few laps, not sure what happened later, seemed to have a problem with the car, but definitely showed his great skills.
2:19s GT3R times in quali were set by Nick Tandy, Kevin Estre and similar pros and who know the track inside out, I would say the GT2 is maybe about 1.5 secs slower than the restricted GT3R in same hands.

Regarding Spa.....or Road America or Road Atlanta.......if you put Tandy, Vanthors or Pilet in the GT2RS CS, I agree it would be about 1.5-2.0 seconds slower than the GT3R with the same driver.
Put an Am in the car and the gap is smaller when comparing the 2 cars......it's way easier to get a quick lap time in the GT2RS CS vs the GT3R.
Basically the GT2RS is the perfect race car for the AM driver......easy to drive, easy to maintain, but plenty of performance!
It's not a cheap date but the running costs are much less than the GT3R and Cup car.
