HRE Wheels in Racing
Does anyone know how many professional racing teams use HRE wheels for the 24 hours of Daytona, the 12 hours of Sebring or the 24 hours of LeMans?

I have not had the best experience with their flow formed wheels. Cannot say for their forged wheels. The designs are beautiful and the finish is good.

It's amazing that teams have had so much luck with your wheels. My experience is that your wheels are the worst wheels I've ever had the misfortune of using. Your flow formed wheels are *awful* and bend at the slightest bump in the road. They are so bad, I cannot take your more expensive forged wheels seriously. Also, the bolts you sent me with the wheels (2 times) didn't match the mounting surface of the wheel. Fortunately the vendor sent me the appropriate bolts (wrong color though). Your customer support was useless. I use flow formed wheels on track and often in daily use, often at 1/5 of the price you charge for your wheels. Never had a problem on track or on road unless it was a really obvious and nasty hit. Your wheels are relegated now for winter use and will next season be thrown in the trash.
Bottom line is that while I love your designs, I equate your brand with the "more money than they know what to do with" crowd of lambo/ferrari guys who don't really drive their cars in real life. If I were spending the money on another set of forged wheels, I believe there are far better companies out there.
