I cannot wait. I love Mid-Ohio. Trying to get some of my cronies to come as well. I'll be there.

I am thinking maybe I should grab a Red driver for the first White/Black session so as to learn the line? Any volunteers?
I can run Mid-O on my sim before the event, but it's not the same.
Anyone (Red instructor) attending wanna jump in my right seat for the first White session? I'll take it from there.
The advanced events I have done have all been at The Glen and Pocono, but those are tracks I have many many days at already and have had no issues running with the big boys.
I'm new to Mid-O. Should I not even bother registering for this DE and get my feet wet at a regular format DE first?
I sure as hell don't want to hold anyone up while on track during the first session while I am learning the line.
Suggestions?
You will be fine, I went to a new track last year and was just a bit slow my first few laps but paced off off another car in front of me and stayed behind that car for about three laps till I was comfortable... then Let-R-Rip, Im thinking about going there myself.. But I really wanna do Mosport this year... ohhhh Decisions....

Thanks for the encouragement G. Already registered for Mid-O and will do some laps on the sim first. Why don’t you come do Mid-O with us and I’ll do a Mosport event with you later in the season. Mosport is also a bucket list track for me. 2 bucket list tracks in the same season? Is that even legal ?

Once you do Mosport it'll change your life But do it more than once to learn it and take advantage of the ridiculous speed it offers.

Yes I can't wait, I'd love to do mid Ohio. Have to wait to sign up though, I have a couple of vehicles to sell first (flip cars) and it seems like people are waiting for their tax returns... DG, how about Daytona? Is that on the list? Zone 12 does a three day October fast. My mom lives about 8 miles from the track so I have a place to stay but I have to get an open trailer first. I'm not gonna pull my enclosed 16 hrs. That's a haul.....but would be so worth it.....

Yes, Daytona is on the list, if for nothing more than to say I've driven Daytona. Don't know much about the track itself.
Sebring is also on the list. Don't know much about that track either.
Same with Mosport.
Hope you make it to Mid-O.

Mid-O is a favorite. Fantastic in the dry and an absolute devil in the wet. I continue to learn from the locals there after many years.

Hey Gary,
Is that where most people stay for this event?
Is there lodging at the track like VIR or NJMP?
Thanks, DG

There's barely enough paper towels in the dispenser to last the weekened, let alone lodging. Check the hotels mentioned by gbuff.

A bunch more at I71 exit 169--all chains, nothing extravagant but will do the job.

At least the towel dispensers work now (sometimes) unlike a couple years ago Now they just need to lose the remaining troughs and everything'll be ducky.
