Teves MK60E5 integration with 987.2 PDK?
We are updating the 987.1 race car to a 987.2 PDK driveline, inlcuding engine, PDK, harnesses, computers, etc. from a running donor. The 987.1 car currently runs a Teves MK60E5 motorsports ABS system that we would like to retain if possible. The PDK will need wheel speeds, presumably from the ABS pump, to work properly.
We are looking for experience with respect to integrating the Teves MK60E5 system into the 987.2 ECU and PDK computer system.
Any thoughts (or contacts) are appreciated.
Cheers,

I have yet to see anybody to get this to work with a PDK car due to the wheel speed sensor issue. We 6-speed guys lose wheel speed with the installation of the Teves or Bosch ABS systems as well, which eliminated the ability to have traction control in the rain. I feel that it should be possible to use the wheel speed sensor splitters from the 981 Clubsport.

Thank you. Please tell me more about the Clubsport wheel speed sensor splitters. Do you have a part number?

I don’t have much Porsche knowledge but do have a fair bit of background in the mk60 and mk60e5.
Does anyone know what data rate the Motorsport flash has for its can network? And what it is for the stock computers?
The mk60 (non e5 anyhow) runs at 500mbps in stock form and typically the Motorsport flash steps it up to 1kbps. If the same holds true for the Porsche stuff then that could well be the issue. Can shstems on different data rates can’t talk.
Id be willing to wager the pdk gets its wheel speed data over can. They wouldn’t be directly spliced and probably not pulling conditioned outputs directly either (the mk60 had that, id have to check on the e5).
Hopefully that helps.

CAN systems on different data rates can’t directly talk, but are data logging systems that can accept multiple CAN rates and transmit information onto those CAN networks with different rates. Happens all the time...

Certainly true. But if the PDK controller is expecting 500kbps and the Motorsport abs is broadcasting at 1mbps that would be a possible cause for this. I’d bet money the PDK gets its wheel speed data over CAN so if there’s a data rate mismatch that would be a possible problem.

My 2011 cayman (6 speed) has a bosch ABS and adjustable traction control, before PCA banned adjustable TC.
