Now if you want to talk cool look at this 924 GTR VIN 001. Originally owned by Paul Miller of the Herman Miller Stable. It was sold to Richard Howe of Waltham Mass and I remember he had it at the PCA Club Race at Summit Point in the late 90s.
Not sure who owns it now but it is one of the 4 cars going with us on the Bob Woodman transporter to Rennsport Reunion in Sept. .

I remember Michael Mount racing one of the GTR's a Summit Point back in 1999 or 2000 if I remember correctly. It was loud and quite fast.

Michael Mount held the Summit POint TRack record in a Porsche in the middel 90s. He was running a twin cam 2.7 in a 944 wide body chassis. He drove those 994 Turbo guys nuts they just couldn't catch him. He was at least a second or 2 faster.

Beautiful 933. Looks like it will be worth the wait once completed.

The car made the cover of Panorama back then. I was a kid and already a gearhead, so recall when that issue showed up at the house.

I just googled and found the cover pic pretty quickly. I forgot the car was sponsored by Herman Miller Porsche. I'm pretty sure I saw the car at that dealer in NJ at a PCA tech session back in the day.

Definitely a very cool car. It was basically the precursor to the Fabcar 944 GTRs. Full tube frame and very fast. Paul Miller won at least one Trans Am race with that car. A club racer from NJ bought and restored it a few years ago, and I assume still has it.

Here are a few closer pics of the jacking point welded to the rocker.

Here are a few more pics of the engine bay and the cockpit. WE have a test day set for June 1 at Roebling Road. This cars has a Tilton brake pedal set up with double master cylinders. Herman Miller Livery is going back on this week. I will get more pics of the underside as soon as it makes it to the lift (hopefully by the weekend.) The 2 holes in the dash are for Exhaust Gas Temperature Gauges that are hooked to the headers. We have new gauges to install.

Thank you for the Pictures Clark, i'm going to do something similar with my race car as the
floors have been abused by the previous owner and whatever method he was using to jack up the car !

Something else this car has to make jacking easier is a piece of square tubing welded to each side of the car that will accept one of those "feet" or jacking pads that were used by earlier 911s.
Next time I will get a pic of that. I recently saw one of these cars with the floor totally distorted from using the floor and bottom of the rockers as a jacking point. ?????? Some people just don't get it.

That's awesome! My dad was the GM of H+M back then and worked on that car after the first one "took flight". I had that poster signed by Tom back then as well, my dad had it framed for me and ultimately it was discarded. I did a search today and no **** this showed up when I typed in Tom Brennan Porsche in the eBay search https://www.ebay.com/itm/22292848041...m=222928480413 my poster with the faded autograph. Clicked the buy it now and its on its way back to me. I still can't believe it. Going in my garage above my 993!! From boys bed room to garage 37 years later. The guy found it collecting dust in a thrift shop.

Very cool story congratulations. I originally bought 2 posters new. I donated one 2 years ago to the 48Hr Silent auction and I still have the other which is in my post. I had a hard time finding the 2 posters that I bought back in 95. The car is now being marked up and the motor is going in, although I will not be driving it I am getting excited after 24 Years.
