DH in the winter with no snow? Where is this done? I’ve never done DH but want to. I figured Colorado DH was only for summer. I live in Chicago, so I just travel.

Living 2 hours from Sebring and Daytona, we still get winter here. It was only up to 85 today. But at least it was sunny and humid... And we still drink while waiting the 2-3 weeks for the next track day...

I plan on doing a few "linked " DE's over the winter between ski weekends and trips.
.5) Leave NJ with track car on trailer Go South
1) Trailer car to Georgia Do a 3 day DE
2) Trailer car from Georgia to Florida, Do another 3 day DE
3) Trailer car from Florida to Texas Do another 3 day DE
4 Trailer car back to NJ
Make DE changes on the fly.
For the record, I have every intention of bringing this plan to fruition. If we can get 4 or 5 of us together, we rent a hauler for 3 weeks and drive to various tracks in style for those 3 weeks.
Then we have hauler take cars back to NJ.
Time it right through the various Southern PCA Zones and it can be done.

East TN - West NC. Although I don't necessarily mean just lift-serviced double black diamonds. There are a ton of mountains around here that have normal trails with some pretty good DH sections with jumps and rock gardens built in. To name a few, Bailey's Mountain, Windrock, Baker's Creek.

I want to throw this out there as an open invitation, as we all know....
We are located in Ft. Myers, about 15min from the RSW airport, 30min from Naples and 1hr 30min from Sebring. If you'd like to ship your car to our facility, you can catch a flight down at any time. We will pick you up from the airport, and you can take your car and cruise Florida or hit Sebring with us. We will take care of any/all maintenance and track preparation during the season for you.

Went to Barber for Masters R PSDS last winter.
Going to Barber for Masters RSR PSDS this winter (next week--winter is here already).
Renting house in Naples for a month in February...2 hours from Sebring, so will either transport cars down or rent with John Dean at sick sideways motorsports or David Tuaty at TLM Racing.
May hit up John at AutoQuest if I ship the GT4
Drinking also helps

I lived in NH for 12 years and never did a snow mobile. I knew what I would do to it and die. So now in Florida I had a jet ski with monster motor that did almost 90 mph and managed to break several ribs and screw up my rotator cuff. But not dead yet at least. Most of the time water is softer than a tree.
