Full disclaimer: I certainly do not have the credentials that others do who have commented on your thread.

If Harry's speed trace is to be believed (BIG if), I see additional brake pressure (circled in attached image) applied prior to entry to the corner. To me this indicates a brake release (or initial application) timing issue. Long-G data would be helpful in further investigation.

I do not doubt that your car is biased towards understeer. And this certainly could affect your confidence. I see such things in my own driving from even simple tire changes.

I would agree that you need to soften the front but you are also cheating the corner a little and not starting from the right edge. Faster hands to throw the car in a little more will help too.

Just wanted to follow up. You guys helped me fix my understeer problems

In all seriousness - softening the front bar just one notch helped out quite a bit. The car felt much more normal to me and gave me the confidence to go an insane 3 seconds faster than my target pace for the day. And for the record, nothing makes you look more like an idiot than sliding down the hill sideways on the out lap. I guess it was my turn.

Back to the hairpin ?you might try to diamond them more rather than round them out or arc them like a larger radius turn...

I noticed this too. that first hairpin pays HUGE dividends to braking straight at the far right, and then trail braking into the turn. you need to use as much of the space you have to round out that turn.

Dave, have you ever been to this track before?
