Congratulations. Is the color Mexico blue?

Lovely pics. Question: Now, you say that your 918 WP came from the factory in Leipzig. Other posters (& RoadandTrack) have had their 918 build in Stuttgart:

http://www.roadandtrack.com/new-cars...assembly-line/

This makes me think that the 918 is assembled in both locations, am I correct?

Thanks. All the cars are built on the 918 line at Stuttgart, but 'factory collection' is from the Leipzig facility as it has the test track. Porsche ships it to Leipzig from the production line.

I had a whole day handover, with about 3.5 hrs on track with Porsche's own GT3 and 918, before a few laps in my own one to bed in brakes etc.

The color is Arrow Blue (305) and is the only 918 in that shade. I hadn't seen any pics of the finished car until they took the wraps off on Tuesday morning, but very happy how it turned out. When I went to the factory (Stuttgart..!) to spec, was going to go Voodoo, but the 918 concierge was unsurprisingly a Porsche expert and knew that Arrow was a more classic equivalent.

Thank you, this makes more sense now.

Amazing posts congrats and thanks for sharing

just out of curiosity are the tracks pics by a professional ?

Is Arrow Blue (Royal Blue) on the PTS list or can a 918 buyer choose any color and will be approved?

Yes, track pics were taken professionally by track day organiser.

You can choose any colour for 918, and it will be approved as long as it passes technical tests, which took about 4 weeks. They then sent me a metal panel painted in the colour for final sign-off. Porsche confirmed last week that mine is the only Arrow Blue car, which is a bonus!

I just received the hi res (professionally taken) version of the approach to Eau Rouge, which is a good place to be on first full day of ownership...still wearing factory plates.
