I think the car will fly off the shelf. The MG yellow car is almost 1.5 with 10k less miles. If i was in the market i would save 250k all day in exchange for 10k miles. $25 a mile is a huge spread imo. Either way good luck with the sale Graham. Maybe you have to sell mine sooner or later. I am trying my best to hold on though.

I was simply saying the competition of the CGT is much higher - in addition the tone of some who post here has been to knock the price with no basis.
Not a great idea to bet against the CGT and while everything has gone up the CGT has gone up consistently when everything else has not. Regardless just think we can make this thread enjoyable vs ....

I was actually trying to communicate that while CGT's are up, they aren't really out-performing a lot of other cars/assets and I was actually defending that they probably still have room to go unless all other assets pop. There's some pretty not-so-special stuff that has been dragged up with this overall asset move that has a LOT more room to fall than a fairly special car like CGT. In a vacuum, the CGT market move has been crazy. In the context of all the post-covid CRAZY market moves, the CGT move is pretty reasonable somehow?!
Not really. I have been getting as much at auction for high end Porsche products as the retail market. To retail out of that car could take a significant amount of time to sell it and maybe for not a whole lot more money. Also, you're probably not going to sell it all by yourself so you're going to pay someone a commission.
Crazy thing is manheim requires one to be there in person to bid. Will be interesting to see the result.
You can bid off site through simulcast. The car was pulled last week because the simulcast system needed to be upgraded to take 7 figure bids. I've bought plenty of cars simulcast.
There is also a 275 mile example on OVE for $2 million.
