Is the only car week CGT auction going down at Mecum? I figured there would be more.

Hahaha, they are looking for a sucker. That car would cost you 1/2 the price a 1+ years ago. We are in a total car bubble.

Why so mean? F40 F50 prices CGT has plenty of room.

Guy buys the car and comes here - would say Congrats!

Looks like 1.21m all in. I wonder if service is all up to date.

#740….my old car. I drove it 10000 miles in 7 years of ownership. Great car. Only reason I parted with it….I bought a 3 BR condo on a river in the Vail valley. Not cheap real estate. Wife and family very happy, so good asset class swap. Car was sold without an engine out. Clutch was high 28 mm when I bought it and sold it. Never leaked, problem free car for the most part. It’s now getting an engine out and new clutch by GRP.
CGT prices shot up about 50% since I sold mine, but the value of my vacation property has appreciated also. Like others have said, everything’s up.
GRP ask price is aggressive but GR wants to drive it a bit.
I bought GR’s personal 599 GTO earlier this year. They are straight up to deal with.
I have another iconic V10 now…a Lexus LFA. The engine wail is very similar to CGT.
Having said that, the CGT is the one car I’d consider revisiting.

I too thought it was a bit cheap compared to the listed cars and some comps i heard about. But a good size service can ding one for 60k plus. I think it is the first public sale since this last appreciation spurt.

Thank you Mooty!

Our CGT price reflects what we think the car is worth given the service and quality of the car. This car looks as new, seat wear minimal to none. I had a 150 mile car that’s seats looked way worse than this car. Paint wise this car shows very well, couple small rock chips we are having touched up with touch up paint then will have the car paint corrected by one of the absolute best in the business, Brad Mills from Chicago.

The car is right now having a fresh major engine out service done, replacing a leaky front shock (requires both fronts be replaced), it’s also getting a NEW clutch (it measured 29.1 but I’m OCD and figured since engines out let’s do it right). We stand behind our cars, hence the 65k in work I am having done.

Once it returns from there this car will get a completely new clear bra head to toe and brand new Michelin tires installed at GRP!

Did I mention it has window sticker, full luggage and all original books and keys? That’s why it’s the price it is, because I’d rather have this than a 500 mile silver car personally.

On a personal level, I’ve been fortunate to drive a lot of cars. The CGT is the best. Hands down, the best. I am excited for whoever gets ours, as well as happy for any people and owners who have been able to drive these cars. Awesome.
